Problems of gender discrimination and English ability
I'm a Taiwanese lady banker who knows the financial communities of China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore very very well. I have the ability to speak and write Japanese, Malay, Mandarin Chinese and many dialects of China fluently and gracefully.
Last year, I won the first place in the performance appraisal of wealth management department but I always had fewer opportunities than my less-capable male colleagues.
In my opinion, poor English writing ability is my biggest obstacle except for the traditional gender discrimination. For bankers from non-English speaking countries, who can give me some practical advice to improve this bad situation?
