I hold a BSc and Master's degree in finance and want to work in asset management in the middle east. What skills and credentials are usually sought after by employers these days e.g.cfa, financial modelling, vba, etc... ? Thanks.

CFA- necessary pretty much, it's the worldwide standard for finance and is almost a prereq for portfolio management
Thank you for your reply. What else besides clearing the CFA?Is strong financial modellingknowledge and skill set required, highly helpful, or not that necessary? And what about learning VBA or other programming languages if you do not plan on becoming a quant? Anything else will be much appreciate it. Thank you.
Consider one of the followingnecessary for portfolio management: MATLAB, Python or R. In light of the fact that the finance world has become increasingly quantitative and data-driven, it is simply safer to have the data analytics skill set. :-)
