SA Offer Rescinded due to GPA
Sup y'all. Has anyone known anybody that has had anSAoffer rescinded due to their GPA not matching their transcripts? I submitted my resume back in early summer with my winter cumulative GPA which was 3.57 & finished the year with 3.47. I simply forget to update my resume and did not intend to misrepresent my GPA. Do you think HR will later reach out to me about this? I accepted the offer but they have not yet asked for transcripts & am hoping that I can bump my GPA back up to at least 3.5 by the time that they ask for them.SAfor aBBbtw.
EDIT: I'll keep y'all updated if I run into any bumps with HR once I get closer to my start date

How you getting into aBBwith a 3.5? All I seem to hear is that the cutoff is literally like 3.7-3.8
Yeah riiiiight

AtGSTMT/FIGwith a 3.4 GPA. GPA isn't everything.
You're definitely the anomaly.

I interned at aBBand my gpa was off by like a full .4 vs the resume I interviewed with. I had to pull official transcripts and send them in and was freaking out.
I stressed about it all summer but ultimately no one gave a fuck
Did theBBmake you submit your transcript when you got the job?
Had to submit transcript 4-5 weeks before starting which was 4-5 months after I signed my offer
To be clear, HR will care about matching your transcript with what you submitted your resume with. So if you performed poorly after submitting you resume and getting your offer, you should be fine.

As long as your transcript matches to what you applied with, you're fine. Obviously don't drop to a 2.5 or something but going to a 3.5 in a session will not be an issue at all so long as you were truthful when you applied.
I heard this happen one time for aFTconsulting offer but the GPA was WAYY off from a 3.7 on the resume to what they calculated as <3.0. A small change wont matter.
u chilling man relax
Nice click bait title
You could say the resume was outdated and submitted prior to when your grades were finalized. 3.47 to 3.57 is quite small (the 3.5BBcutoff is only a soft cutoff for first rounds, it doesn't affect you after that)
Honestly though they will rarely pull transcripts forSAs

Do they do it for full-times or laterals?
Laterals pretty unlikely. Full times you should assume they will, but it's not a hard and fast thing

I view GPA as a way to gatekeep interviews. You should never lie (I don't count rounding as lying) but if HR does reach out and the answer is that the GPA on your CV is the GPA from when you applied for the job/interviewed then that wont be an issue at all.
I'm in a similar position. Half way through the interview process and I realised the resume I submitted included an outdated GPA. It's like ~0.05 lower on my transcript. Back then when I applied, the grade had already been out and I simply forgot to update it, stuff happens.
Now I'm gonna meet with the MDs for the final stage and I wonder should I correct this mistake by sending an updated CV to HR asap? Or does it raise more problem than just letting it be for the time being…
FTanalyst position at aMMbank btw. Welcome any insights on this…
