Alternative to sell-side ER/IB --> HF?
Some background info: 3.5 at a non-target, 3 internships -- 2 with an RIA and 1 at a long only (both firms are active managers)
My goal is to go to a GARP fund at some point after undergrad. Instead of接受BBERorIBroute, does anyone here have experience at a T Rowe Price or some similar firm? Would a large asset manager be looked upon as better experience since I'll be taught how to specifically do buy-side research. Also, would it be a similar process coming from a mutual fund?

MBB,PE, AM are the only other real alternatives toget intoHF. Otherwise you are kinda SOL
Maybe can start own Hf?
nobody will invest with you unless you come from a top ivy or HSWMBA. Even then it's still a huge stretch without background experience in investing
There is this thing called "track record". I heard it's pretty important in raising money and starting a fund.

Not sure what you mean by a garp fund. But I'd exploretrading as well, sell side included, especially if you're in credit.
