Don’t like anything, student seeking advice
Hi guys, l am an undergraduate student in Europe, in the second year and my program lasts 3 years (Economics and Management).Now l have to decide what to do with my life in fact l plan to take the GMAT this summer and apply for top business school as my gpa is good.However it's not really clear to me for which masters l should apply (l was thinking Data or Finance) because l basically don't have any passion.In high school I chose Economics and Management since it was the most broad and now l am stuck in the same situation. The only thing that l know is that l would like to earn a lot of money but l know that it's not really possible if l don't love my job (ex inIByou have to work a lot and l don't know if l will be able to it since l don't love it) and my only internship was in an IT role but not technical.I really don't know how to escape from this situation which is stressing me so much and affecting my GPA and relationships.The main problem is that since l don't know if l am going to like finance or not l am worried about joining a MiF and then be stuck there for the rest of my life, while with Data l would be a bit more flexible but with more weirdos in competition with me and less opportunities to earn a lot (?)Worth to mention is that l am in Bocconi rn which l think is a semi-target in Europe.Please l need your help, any suggestion on what to for the Master or what to do to make a choice will be super super appreciated.Stefano

As someone who was in the same position and did a master's degree, I would recommend against it if possible.
Don't want to bore you with my journey but in short, I made a long side tour (5+years) without knowing what I want. Not saying the experience was completely useless but I eventually made the transition back on track with a topMBA(my master's degree was also semi target btw).
Suggestions:
1/ Do as many coffee chats as possible with ppl in ur potential target positions;
2/ More internships.IBmay not be ur thing but an internship there opens many doors;
3/ Copy the paths of those who went to topMBAs. Make Bank≠ Career success in the early years≠MBAAdmissions. But there are resemblances. If you don't know what do to, there're beaten paths out there that you can follow. At least you know those are where you are least likely to go wrong, from a mundane 'career success' perspective.
