First time post here - I just got an offer two months ago from MS for a full time role, and after being notified by the recruiter through email that I have been selected for the role, the nightmare begins ---
First of all, the recruiter that works with me to finalize the offer are not willing to accept any phone conversation or video, despite I have specifically requested in the email multiple times.

Is this normal? I feel like something is going on with MS - at least I have not had any similar experiences with other company regarding the hiring process.....

Why do you want to speak to the recruiter?
is the issue that you haven't received the physical offer letter yet?
I would like to speak with the recruiter so that I could get instant response regarding the questions of salary package, benefits, vacations etc, which I only get partial response from the recruiter right now...
In the past, when I received the offer, the recruiter that worked with me was very prompt and nice to move forward. I am not sure if it is the standard MS hiring process....

From my experience, most likely you are good to go and it's just a waiting game, but I'm going to tell you what I advise everyone: until that offer is in writing, signed and officially acknowledged by both parties, never assume it's a done deal, even if they tell you verbally. Back in 2015, I got really lazy, just assumed my offer was good and didn't bother applying elsewhere after (and yes it did eventually went through so I got extremely lucky), but in hindsight, it was extremely reckless and this does happen where the offer doesn't materialize. I would suggest continue applying to other roles and, carefully worded, continue following up with the recruiter for any updates. Worst case scenario (and I hope it doesn't come out to this), they pull the offer and you have nothing else lined up, it's on you I'm afraid, not them, as messed up as that sounds.
